We are a parish in the Vatican II tradition and follow the example of Pope Francis as a parish community willing to serve: "We must restore hope to young people, help the old, be open to the future, spread love. Be poor among the poor. We need to include the excluded and preach peace"

Here you will find information about having a Catholic wedding and how to go about it or to find out whether you are eligible,

You both may simply have lots of questions you'd like answers to before you approach a priest, Please take a look at the information we have here.

Catholic Marriage Care have put together an excellent booklet on Marriage that the Parish Team recommends you read carefully. Please remember that we need, at least, six months notice of your wedding.

St Mary's School

St Mary's School is part of the federation that serves the two Catholic Parishes of Battersea that the Parish Team serves. While each school retains its own historic identity, uniform and its own admissions policy, parents can be confident that regardless of which school their child attends, they will enjoy the same strong leadership, the same enriched, broad, balanced curriculum and the same inclusive caring ethos.

Together our two schools will continue to be actively involved in the mission of the Church, to make Christ known to all people, to work in partnership with parents who are the (primary) first teachers of their children in the practice of their faith, to work with the local parishes in creating and maintaining that Home- School- Parish link, and to be aware of our place in the wider community in seeking to promote the common good of our society.

Baptisms

Through Baptism, God enables us to participate in his life in Jesus Christ and makes us his children. It is through this sacrament that we receive the Holy Spirit and become members of the People of God, of the Body of Christ, which is the Church. Baptism becomes our commitment to grow in this new life and to strive to acquire spiritual maturity. By baptism, God purifies us from sin.

Baptism is the sacrament of faith which has the Risen Christ as its source, and it is the offer of salvation for all people. Intimately linked to Confirmation and to Eucharist, Baptism is, with these two sacraments, Christian Initiation. The child is baptized in the faith of their parents, godparents and of the Church. We offer regular programmes of preparation for this wonderful family occasion. Please contact the Parish Office for full details
